UNICAL Admission List  | How To Check Your Admission Status

The management and authorities of UNICAL have released the admission list for the  academic session.

Therefore, all candidates that choose UNICAL as their first choice of institution, sat and passed the post UTME screening exercise can now go ahead to check their admission status right away.

Candidates who choose University of Calabar and registered for  PUTME screening exercise are by this notice, advised to log on to myunical.edu.ng to check their admission status with their UTME admission checker cards.

The admission checker cards can be purchased at the following banks:

  1. UMFB, University of Calabar
  2. Heritage Bank, Calabar Road
  3. Wema Bank, Murtala Muhammed H/Way
  4. First City Monument Bank, Calabar Road

Candidates are to log on to myunical.edu.ng with their Jamb registration number and admission checker pin to check their admission status.
Simply click on UTME admission screening and select check admission status.

CANDIDATES WHOSE NAMES APPEAR ON THIS LIST ARE PLEASE ADVISED TO PRINT OUT THE ADMISSION STATUS SLIP AND KEEP IT FOR SCREENING AT THEIR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS. THEY SHOULD PLEASE PROCEED TO PAY THEIR ACCEPTANCE FEE ON ETRANZACT PLATFORM IN ANY COMMERCIAL BANK AND UNICAL MICROFINANCE BANK

  1. Candidates whose names appear on this list are please advised to login to JAMB portal to either ACCEPT or REJECT their admission offers within 72 hours from the date of this publication, failure which the admission may be REVERSED.
  2. Those YET-TO-BE admitted and whose scores fall within the approved cut-off mark with the required subject combination are advised to check the school portal regularly to know their admissions status.
  3. NOTE: Candidates are advised to go on Jamb portal to accept the admission if they have not done that already.

Checking Admission Status Guidelines

  1. E-tranzact option:
    This option is available in all commercial banks nationwide. At the bank your are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN. With the PIN log into the portal https://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then follow the instructions on the portal after login.
  2. Buy Admission Status Checker Pin Online option:
    This option gives access to purchase Admission Status Checker pin from the portal. Click Buy Admission Status Checker Pin Online to purchase the Admission Status Checker pin online. Login with the TRANSACTION ID as the PIN into the portal.
  3. Scratch Card Option:
    This option is available in the following banks within Calabar Metropolis ONLY:
    a.    Unical Microfinance Bank
    b.    WEMA Bank
    c.    First city Monument Bank
    d.    Heritage Bank

However, there are two other ways to check your admission status and that can be done by doing any of the following;

THROUGH JAMB PORTAL

As at now, you can only access your UNICAL admission status from JAMB admission status checking portal, follow the procedure outlined below:

  1. Go jamb.org.ng/efacility.
  2. Login to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
  3. Scroll down then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
  4. Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
  5. Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your UNICAL admission status.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to go to JAMB CAPS portal to ACCEPT or REJECT the offer —  How to Reject/Accept Your Admission on JAMB CAPS.

Not Yet admitted? Note that the Admission List will be published in batches as they are processed. Candidates are therefore advised to keep on checking online.

Candidates who did not upload their result as at the time of their JAMB application (Awaiting Result) should do so immediately by visiting any Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre nearest to them to upload their O’Level results on JAMB website.
