The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is the main examination to qualify students for admission into secondary and vocational schools in Ghana, and Nigeria. It is written after three years of junior high school education. It is administered by the Ghana Education Service under the Ministry of Education. In Nigeria, it is administered by the state ministry of education in each state under the supervision of the National Examinations Council (NECO). NECO directly organizes examinations for Unity Schools, Armed Forces Secondary Schools and other Federal Government schools. Candidates in the third year of junior high schools approved by the Ghana Education Service are eligible for the examination. It is conducted annually in June (Ghana), May/June (Nigeria).
This is to inform all Parents, Students and Guardians who participated in the Lagos State 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which was held in October, 2020 that the results has been released by the Lagos State Examination Board (LSEB)
Steps to Check Lagos State Public & Private Junior Schools 2022 BECE Result [Junior WAEC]
All Government Public Junior Secondary Schools should please proceed to collect their schools’ results from their district headquarters.
WHILE
Registered approved Private Junior Secondary Schools should collect their schools results from respective Liaison officers.
NB: Principals of Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools that registered for the examination should visit the Board Head Office at 254, Ipaja Road, Agege, for the collection of their pupils’ results which were ready from November
Candidates are advised to visit their respective schools to check their names and scores on their various schools notice boards.
Recall that the BECE was conducted in October, 2020 to test the suitability of students for promotion from JSS3 to SSS1 and only candidates who have six credits, including English Studies and Mathematics, would be promoted to SSS1
