How Does FUTA do their Screening?

After seeing all of FUTA’s departmental cut off marks for the year, the next important question to ask is How FUTA do their screening.

Basically, the Federal University of Technology (FUTA) does its admission screening in two phases.

The first phase involves aspirants who applied to study in FUTA proceeding for the pre-screening exercise immediately it is being announced.

Usually, during this first phase, only two major documents are needed i.e SSCE Result and JAMB Registration print out.

However, as a note of warning, all candidates are advised to go their pre-screening venues or centers 30 minutes before time to avoid stories that touch the heart.

Finally, the second phase then comes along immediately you have been admitted into FUTA to study any choice of course. However, at the second phase, you need to do proper screening and the documents usually needed include;

Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

Certificate of Local Government of Origin

Original copies of your credentials (certificates and statements of result)

Letter of good conduct from your village head or any responsible member of your community/or civil servant not below grade level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.

    • Agricultural extension or any agricultural related courses, but if you did pre dregree you can get any course of your choice provided you have a good waec result and high post utme score

  19. My son scored 265 in the 2018 jamb exam.his 1st choice was biomedical engineering at FUTO. I personally registered him for the Post UTME screening test on 24/7/18. In the acknowledgment slip, it’s clearly stated that the test date had bn postponed, & a new date will be communicated to us.
    I kept checking my mail almost 20 time/day for any exam date alert. On 7/8/18, I casually strolled into FUTO e-portal only to discover that he was assigned Exam Date & number for 3/8/18 without alerting me. I’ve gone to FUTO to present my case. I was told I was late & advised to check other universities that are yet to sit for the screening test. It seems every university had long closed shop on post utme screening application. As it stands now, is ther an university I can apply to for supplementary admission since they’ve all closed their application proceedures. In the absence of biomed engineering, he expressed preference for petroleum engineering possibly at UniUyo. Is that still possible ?
