Please that is a very wrong notion.

Attending the class will give you a greater edge and better enlightenment to connect dots together to get the right reasoning for the course.

Always be present in class and copy your note by yourself.

The trick that works here is practicing what you have been taught immediately.

You have heard the popular saying that if you leave your book for a day, it will leave you for one week……….

The question is that; Why do you still leave your books for more than a month without studying.

Whenever a lecturer comes to your class and teaches, ensure you practice immediately you get to your hostel.

Take the note and read them, then answer questions on them to make what has been taught to stick permanently.

Then make sure you complete your assignments daily.

In fact, let no day pass without spending 30 minutes on that difficult course.

Once you have disturbed the course so much, it will eventually get tired and make you understand it. (LOL)

Now watch it over and over again until you get the concept.

The fact that a course is causing you really serious challenge doesn’t mean you can never understand it.

If you don’t persist you will find yourself in a situation where you can never understand any explanation.

That concept of the course was created by a human being like you.
