Is jupeb certified, proven and approved?
Well I have technically answered this before now but for the avoidance of doubt and for clarity, JUPEB is approved, certified and proven.
It is approved by the Federal Government as a platform for securing admission into a higher institutions in the country and abroad.
It is Proven as it has been working for several thousands of students since its inception in 2014 as a platform to get admission into their school of choice.
It is certified by Nigeria University Commission (NUC) as an Advanced level examination that qualifies students to gain admission into 200level.
JUPEB Subject Combinations
If you are wondering what you can study in the university after your jupeb program, then you probably are’nt the only one. However, JUPEB candidates can study any course of their choice after their JUPEB programme. They can study medicine oh yes I mean that, including engineering, law and accounting. Any course can be offered as long as Nigerian universities offer them. Now lets see the combinations for some popular courses.
Some sample courses during JUPEB programme are:
- JUPEB Medicine Subjects Combination
The subjects combination during medicine will be. Biology, Chemistry and Physics plus GNS
- JUPEB Law Subjects Combination:
The subjects combination for Law during JUPEB programme shall be. CRS, Government, Literature in English and GNS
- JUPEB Business Administration Subject Combination:
The subjects combination for the Bus. Admin during the programme are. Business Management, Accounting, Economics and GNS.
- JUPEB Engineering Subjects Combination.
For Engineering, the subject combination should definitely be Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and GNS.
You can visit o3schools.com to see the subject combination for all other courses you may want to study. Likewise if you are confused about your combination, the comment section is a good place to begin.
How jupeb works
Prospective JUPEB candidates are required to select any THREE (3) A/L JUPEB Subject Combination plus General studies (English Language) identified with their preferred course of study in the university be it Science, Art or Social Science Course.
Candidates would then be lectured for the stipulated period at their respective Study Centres and thereafter sit for the final examination. After the programme, successful candidates accordingly use their JUPEB result to gain admission into 200level.
Jupeb eligibility for applicants
The JUPEB certificate is presently recognized and accepted in up to 70% of Nigerian federal, state and private Universities. However if you want to take the program, you can check the JAMB brochure for requirements. I think I should give you a summary.
If you have your WAEC, NECO, NCE, OND result, then you can take the JUPEB program .However, you can use your awaiting result to take the program provide you are sure you will have your result ready before or immediately after the end of the program as you can’t be admitted into 200L without your o’Level requirement.
The duration of the jupeb program
JUPEB Is a programme that is being moderated and supervised by the University Of Lagos, (Unilag). Is a 9 to a 10-month course for advanced students (those who have finished their secondary school certificate) from Nigeria secondary schools broken into two semesters to get admitted into second year at university of choice in combination with JAMB.
How to get the form
At the beginning of this video, we spoke about the affiliate and partner universities of JUPEB. They have license to run the program and admit the students into their school. Usually they announce the sale of their forms which you are advised to get directly from them to avoid stories that touch the heart. O3schools.com is a good place to get information about the schools that have released their jupeb form. Do well to check us out.
Who can attend the jupeb program
Anyone who is frustrated with JAMB or who doesn’t want to go through the hassles associated with JAMB can take the JUPEB program.
The jupeb academic calendar
JUPEB calendar begins around April every year and it ends by August for the registration. By September the lectures begins with registrations still ongoing at times .The lectures will run through to May the following year.
From May the revision for the session will start. JUPEB examination can start from late May to early June, and the examination lasts for two weeks.
By late July or early September the same year, the result should have been released.
JUPEB RESULTS DO NOT EXPIRE. You can use it over and over again online JAMB.
How are jupeb lectures organized
Lectures run from Monday through Friday, and by Saturday, Practical for Faculty of Sciences. However, when the examination draws nearer some special intensive coaching classes may be organized by lecturers with your success in focus.
How to make use of your jupeb result
After your JUPEB program, it is very important to know what to use your result for.
To use your JUPEB result to gain admission into 200 Level, you need to visit JAMB website or their nearest office to obtain a D.E form (Direct Entry), fill them in correlation with your JUPEB result, by then you have the opportunity to choose a first and second choice university. Please note that you are not going to write any JAMB exam. You are just picking a form for direct entry. If you do not know much about direct entry and how it works, a video has been dedicated to that on this channel. Do well to check it out now.
Another interesting thing is, you have the opportunity of chosing your course which will be determined by how many points you were able to obtain from the JUPEB exam from your JUPEB result.
Again, JUPEB results do not expire, you can use it to gain admission even after ten years of having the result in your vault.
Cut off marks for jupeb admission into any university
The cut-off mark for JUPEB programme admission into Nigerian universities is almost the same for all affiliated universities that accept jupeb result into 200 level. The maximum points that can be acquired for JUPEB program is 15points.
For you to be able to gain admission with JUPEB, you must be able to have a minimum of 5 points out of the total 15 points. Some specific course however require you to have higher points
