6 Top Things Every Student Should Do After Failing A Course
6 top things every student should do after failing a course is what we shall gist about today.
Failure seldom stops you.
What stops you is the fear of failure.
They gave me……… I was given……..Nobody ever gets that letter after E and Before G.
Likewise, nobody ever gets to an exam hall with a mindset of failure.
We all write exams and stay positive about the result even when we know we didn’t do well.
Nevertheless, this letter still finds its way to the board appearing at different angles.
While getting this letter may be well deserved for some students, the story is reverse for others.
That faithful moment when you studied really well and something as unfortunate as Letter F appears on the board.
It’s not a good experience at all.
Therefore today, you and I will look at the 6 top things every student should do after failing a course.
The List Of the 6Top Things every Student Should Do After Failing A Course
- Forget About It And Get Ready To Do It Again
While this may be difficult especially when you really studied hard for the exam, there is no much you can do any longer.
Get grateful for another opportunity to do it again.
I understand some schools make this option very difficult to take for students in this category.
I will explain what i mean by that.
For example, in my school UNIBEN, when you fail a course, you can still re-write the course and score an A.
However in other schools, the case is different.
When you fail a course, you can no longer get an A again.
You will now be fighting for a B.
Over educational systems vary from school to school.
Despite this, we still have to move on after failing a course.
Always remember that “failure is not the opposite of success. It is part of it”.
When it happens, be positive because it is how we learn and grow.
Finally, just put in mind that failure is proof that you tried.
Now go and try again and conquer.

- Believe In Yourself
It is often said that if you believe in yourself, you will be unstoppable.
When faced with this kind of challenge especially when you know you don’t deserve for it to end like that, it will weigh you down.
Therefore, it is time to stand up to the game.
Believe in yourself and all that you are.
Know that there is something inside you greater than any obstacle.
Even if You don’t, pretend that you do and at some point, you will.
- Forget About What Your Friends Say
Once you have forgotten about it and believed in yourself, it won’t matter any longer what your friends say about it.
At every point in time, there are certain people who just want to see you fail because they think you are proud.
In this case, just do all you can to make sure they are not even aware about it.
Do this so that before they realize, you will have long succeeded.
- Remember The Place Of God
Even the Bible had to say “count it all joy when when thou falleth into tribulation”.
You can relate that to your situation and be joyful for another opportunity.
Remember your God and commit your next plan to Him and He will sure see you through.
- You Are Not A Failure; So Don’t Relate As One
This is the penultimate point on the 6 top things every student should do after failing a course.
Don’t ever let your struggle become your identity.
Therefore, don’t tell any one you failed or yourself for that matter.
You could say you learned.
It is my personal motto that “In life I don’t fail, I LEARN”.
You could just tell them that you have made a strategic decision to temporarily postpone your success.
So, don’t worry about the little challenges.
Winston Churchill once said that “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm”
Finally, know that failure helps you identify your weaknesses, gain new perspective and think innovatively.
Think of failure as just one step on the road to your success.
