Authorities of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) hereby invites applications from interested candidates and the general public to their special short term training programmes training for academic session.

The Special Programmes Department offers the following Short Term Programmes:

Effective Writing and Communication: Duration: 4 months. (Saturdays only)
Photo Journalism: Duration: 4 months (Fridays and Saturdays)
Basic Photography: Duration: 2-Weeks.
Speech Writing and Presentation: Duration: 2 Days
Sport Journalism: Duration : Two weeks (every day).

The School runs specialised short-term courses for professional practitioners and intending practitioners in specialised areas of Mass Communication, Journalism and allied areas.

There are such programmes as Photojournalism, News Writing and Reporting, Editing, Radio and Television Production amongst others.
