About Dangote Business School

Dangote Business School (DBS) was established in 2014 to promote high-level business management and entrepreneurship knowledge guided by global good practices. Although the DBS is new, the graduate programmes offered by the School existed for over 3 decades.

The School was established to consolidate the reputation and relevance of the graduates programmes offered and also diversify into numerous disciplines related to management, entrepreneurship and globalization to better prepare corporate leaders, prospective managers, and society builders to overcome emerging challenges and also utilize global opportunities for the benefit of humanity.

Admission Requirements To Study In BUK Dangote Business School

MASTERS IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA)

Candidates for admission into MBA (Regular) should have:

  1. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Banking and Finance from any recognized University
  2. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus University Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Merit in the relevant areas from any recognized University.
  3. Five O Level Credits including Mathematics and English.

Candidates for admission into MBA (Special) should have a minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in any discipline from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University.

MASTERS IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (M.Ent)

Candidates for admission into M.Ent (Regular) should have:

  1. A minimum of a good Second Class degree in Business Administration, Management, Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance, or any related discipline from any recognized university; or
  2. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGD-Ent) with a minimum of Merit from any recognized university.
  3. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus University Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Merit in the relevant areas from any recognized University.
  4. Five O Level Credits including Mathematics and English.

Candidates for admission into M.Ent (Special) should have a minimum of a good Second Class degree in any discipline from any recognized university.

POSTGARDUATE DIPLOMA IN ENTREPRENEURSHIP (PGD-Ent)

1. A candidate must have obtained BSc or HND; or
2. Have accredited professional qualifications, such as ICAN, ANAN, etc from a recognized institution and must have possessed Five O Level Credits including Mathematics and English.
3. The candidate is also required to have at least one year post graduation experience.

POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT (PGDM)

1. Candidates for admission into PGDM shall possess a Degree in any discipline from any recognized university; or
2. HND with a minimum classification of Lower Credit obtained from recognized institutions.

3. Five O Level Credits including Mathematics and English.

4. The candidate is also required to have at least one years of post graduation experience.

Dangote Business School is a ‘one-stop’ shop for your business and entrepreneurship education. The School offers a wide range of courses specifically designed for young and aspiring graduates, professionals and technocrats; captains of industry, business entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs; consultants and educators, and other public service operators who are highly motivated to change the world around them.

Industrial tours, international exposure, internships, mentorship are critical components of the programmes to augment the formal training with experiential learning. All our postgraduate programmes are run on full-time and part-time basis. Depending on the interest and eligibility, applicants can apply to be enrolled in any of the following programmes:

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

This programme is designed to provide individuals from all fields and professions the opportunity to acquire management skills and knowledge for career advancement. The programme is suitable for graduates who have obtained university degrees and/or certificates from both management and non-management fields. It is two semester programme offered on full-time and part time bases

Post Graduate Diploma in Entrepreneurship (PGD.Ent.)

This programme is designed to serve as a remedial or initial training platform for those who wish to acquire graduate degrees in the field of entrepreneurship. Specifically, the Programme is designed to develop students’ intellectual capacity to appreciate entrepreneurial ideas, ventures, processes and systems.

By the end of the course, students would be able to analyze opportunities, develop and implement business plans in order to get their ventures started. This course is also designed to increase access to entrepreneurship education as all graduates of universities, HND holders and members of professional associations from recognized institutions would be eligible to join the programme. PGD.Ent is a two semester programme offered on full-time and part time bases.

Masters in Entrepreneurship (M.Ent)

This programme is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitude required to achieve entrepreneurial success in a variety of settings.

The M.Ent programme places emphasis on developing individual advanced level intellectual capacity to appreciate and realize opportunity, assess risk, and apply the skills necessary to transform innovative ideas into viable and sustainable ventures. Equally, the programme is intended to be the foundation for advanced studies in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation.

The programme is offered on full time (two semesters) and part-time basis (four semesters).

Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

The MBA programme is designed to provide an opportunity to graduates, professionals, and managers from various fields of studies to acquire advanced management training and skills. It shall be the benchmark on the African continent and has thus been designed to provide practical and up-to-date management training in an atmosphere of excellence, creativity, and professionalism.

The MBA programme is a four-stream programme, comprising
