If you are a regular follower of this amazing competition, you will remember the song “Project Fame” and the reply is usually “what A feeling”.

The competition which is also referred to popularly as Project Fame WestAfrica or MTN Project Fame West Africa is a music competition created to find new and young talents as well as grooming them and giving them all the necessary support they need to climb to the top of their music career.

Furthermore, the reality TV show is filmed in Lagos and aired in West African Subcontinent.

It is important to note that the show which allows viewers a wonderful opportunity to follow sequentially the progress of 15 artistes features contestants from Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Serria Leone.

However, it is a shameful thing to note that both Liberia and Sierraleone has been dropped since the outbreak of Ebola in those regions.

The show which began in 2008 and aired by ultima production provides for the competition leading specialists from the music field to afford the contestants the very best professional training which ranges from voice training, movement and how to write songs.

Likewise, the competition boasts two presenters [Joseph Benjamin and Bolanle Olukani] and three (3) judges [Praize, Tee-Y Mix, and Bibie].

The competition which also boasts high profile faculty members such as Joke Sylva, Lovett Otegbola, Dupe Ige and Ben Ogbeiwi affords the participants to meet and perform alongside their favorite music stars.

Finally, it is very important to note that the winner will emerge after at least 8 weeks of rigorous training and outstanding performance in the MTN project fame academy.

The following are the requirements applicants or aspiring contestants must meet before applying for the 2018 competition.

The applicant must;

  • be open-minded and at least 18 years of age.

It is, however, pertinent to note that verification of age is very important as failure to do so leads to automatic disqualification.

  • present a copy of photographic Identification or International ID or Ecowas passport.
  • be applied by only amateurs i.e those who have never released a song or album before

To register, simply;

SEND your Name and Locaion using only an MTN line to 35850 which will enable you get a pin from MTN.

Nevertheless, it is your duty to note that the text costs just N100.

Then head here to register online.

However, after complete registration, print out the audition form and proceed to the audition venue as planned.
