Evolution Involves Everyone | Misconceptions About Evolution
Nowadays, it’s not that difficult at all to motivate youngsters to immerse in the digital area. It’s the opposite, they willingly embrace it and shout back at us if they perceive some old fashion demeanor.
Some parents, for obvious reasons, take precaution when they see their sons and daughters too much immersed in those little worlds they create. Regularly, in some homes there are children with their heads fixed on a mobile, and their fingers typing rapidly on the screen as if they were sending Morse codes.
This sometimes leads to heated discussions. Points are made from both sides, and I must say that anyone involved is right. If we analyze these situations carefully, we can get to the realization that the problem is merely focus. From one side, parents are right because children might be letting pass great time and moments by not extending their views about the things that are happening in their own ecosystem.
On the other hand, children are also right. All of them are supposed to be a better edition of their parents so to speak. And this axiom is not merely about pride or self-development only. It’s about evolution. And we know for a fact that everything that takes societies to another lever is through technology.
Expansion
I’ve always liked this word. Expansion of our mind, our perceptions and ideas. It’s incredible all the things that we have accomplished so far, and the things that we are yet to attain.
We can dream and accomplish some of them alone, but we are not going to transcend as a society alone. In order to achieve something that stirs our hearts with full joy and satisfaction, feeling ourselves complete and rejuvenated, we have to begin outreaching our presence and participation.
Then, we can work toward a common goal. The home situation explained above clearly refer what we’re not doing. So, instead of devising a problem from something that is common, why don’t we get the best of the situation… because there are a lot of things that look problematic at first sight, but what really occurs is the wrong perception we’re giving to them.
How To Approach Children
When parents want to intervene because they believe their children are kind of slaves from technology, they have this fear that they’re going to be rejected at the spot. The approach is done solely from an authoritative angle. And that doesn’t work, specially with youngsters.
Adolescents can listen if we know how to manage ourselves. Have you wondered why they listen more to their friends? some would say that it is just because they share the same age. I would say their friends understand the value of what they do.
So, when we talk to youngsters, we have to do it in a proactive way which make them see that we do notice the value.
And please don’t do it in a condolence way. They can detect that. And it is also not good because we would be lying. Youngsters listen to those people who touch their hearts, and improve them in many ways.
I’ve always thought that this is one of the best ways to teach values. Actually, youngsters can grasp them by themselves. In the interaction of a particular situation, humans have the ability to deduce by experience.
Creating Together
Technology has united the world in terms of socializing. It hasn’t REALLY united it for the paramount purposes that are indispensable for life no matter all the differences we have… because it is just the diversification that should not have any effect in the type of life we choose.
With this, I mean that not matter if we have different tastes, ideas, and even beliefs, it doesn’t prohibit us from communicating and working together. Personally, I believe in the right of living in the places and communities we desire. We develop personalities that are custom to each personal experience. So, that’s why we are separated. However, that’s just territorial, and it shouldn’t interfere with our evolution, which is something that involves everyone.
Overall, we constantly look for a sense of belonging. Most of us spend years looking for that place where we feel identified. And that’s just a path from where he walk until we settle down.
That’s the much we can take on the topic “Evolution Involves Everyone | Misconceptions About Evolution”.
