Berkeley Academic Calendar 2026-2027 is here so that you know the various activities that will be going on in the school and even the non-academic activities.
The Academic Calendar is nothing other than the University’s official publication, and provides information about courses, programs, and graduation requirements, as well as UM and faculty/school-specific laws, regulations, and policies.
The Calendar serves as a guide for individuals who are considering or have already applied for admission to the University or college, as well as those who have registered for classes there. It also serves as a reference for professors and students at the university. In essence, this Calendar outlines how the school plans to conduct itself throughout each academic year.
Founded in 1868 as the flagship campus of the University of California, UC Berkeley is a public institution with a long history of academic excellence, groundbreaking research, and social and political activism. An internationally renowned research and teaching university, Berkeley encourages interdisciplinary, well-rounded education in its undergraduate students, believing that a diverse and broadly inquisitive learning experience strengthens and promotes creativity and curiosity. Close to 30 percent of freshmen are the first in their families to attend college. Its 1,232-acre campus is located in Berkeley, about 15 miles from San Francisco.
