SOIL SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY

General Requirements

Candidates must posses at-least five credit passes in WAEC/SSCE, NECO, GCE “O”Level or their equivalent at not more than two sittings.

Specific Admission Requirements

A. SCHOOL OF BASIC SCIENCES AND FOUNDATION STUDIES.
1. DEPARTMENT OF BASIC SCIENCES
a. Diploma in Science Laboratory Tech. (DIP SLT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit level passes at SSCE (WAEC or NECO)/GCE O/Level which must include Mathematics, English Language and Chemistry and any other science subject obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

2. DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND STATISTICS
a. Diploma in Computer Science (DIP CPS): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least Three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO which must include mathematics, Physics, English language and any other science subject. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.
b. Diploma in Statistics (Dip. STA): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO which must include English Language, Mathematics and Physics/ Chemistry and any other subjects of Economics, Geography, Government/History, Further Mathematics, Biology/Agric. Science, Typewriting etc.

B. SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL MANAGEMENT & VOCATIONAL STUDIES.

3. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION & MANAGEMENT.
a. Higher National Diploma in Agricultural Extension & Management (HND AEM): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE/SSCE/NECO at not more than two (2) sittings.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.
v. Evidence of JAMB admission letter

4. DEPARTMENT OF HOME AND RURAL ECONOMICS
a. Diploma in Home and Rural Economics (DIP HRE): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in mathematics, English Language and any one of the following, Government, Business Method, Economics/commerce, Biology, Agriculture Science, Chemistry, Physics and Religious Knowledge. Any Nigerian Language, Geography, Book-keeping and Principles of Accounts, History, Clothing and Textile.
b. Higher National Diploma in Home & Rural Economics (HND HRE): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE/SSCE/NECO at not more than two (2) sittings in the relevant subjects.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma (ND) level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any Organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.
vi. Evidence of ND JAMB admission letter.

5. DEPARTMENT OF CO-OPERATIVE ECONOMICS & MANAGEMENT:
a. Diploma in Co-operative Economics & Management (DIP CEM): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in English Language, Mathematics, and any one of Economics/Commerce, Business Methods/Business Studies, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government/History, Biology/Agric. Science, Chemistry, Physics, Typewriting, shorthand.

6. DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT.
a. Diploma in Business Administration and Management (DIP BAM): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in English Language, Mathematics and any one of Economics/ Commerce, Business Methods/Business Studies, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government/History, Biology/Agric. Science, Chemistry, Physics, Typewriting, Shorthand. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.
b. Diploma in Accountancy (DIP ACCT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in Economics, Mathematics and any one (1) of Commerce, Principles of Accounts, Office Practice, English Language, Business Method/Business studies, Government/History, Biology/Agriculture Science and Literature in English. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

7. DEPARTMENT OF AGRIC. BUSINESS MANAGEMENT.
a. Diploma in Agricultural Business Management (DIP ABM): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in English Language, Mathematics and any one of Economics, Agric. Science/Biology, Commerce, Chemistry, Geography, Business Methods, Home Economics, Principles of Accounts, Physics and Government.
C. SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION AND ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (SAPET)

8. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY
a. Diploma in Agricultural Technology (DIP AGT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and chemistry and any other following subjects: Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical Drawing, Physics, Nigerian Language, Home Economics. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

9. DEPARTMENT OF CROP PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY.
a. Higher National Diploma in Crop production Technology (HND CPT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subject at GCE/SSCE/NECO, at not more than two sittings.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.
v. Evidence of ND JAMB admission letter

10. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY (AET)
a. Diploma in Agricultural Engineering Technology (DIP AET): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least Three (3) credit passes at SSCE/GCE/NECO in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and any other subjects from Chemistry, Agriculture Science or Materials & Workshop Process and Machining, Tractor Layout Power Unit Under Carriage and Auto Electricity; Transmission System; Implement and Machine; Principles of Crop Husbandry and Land Use, Materials and Workshop Processes; Construction and Maintenance of Agricultural Machines; general Metal Work; General Wood Work and Building/Engineering Drawing. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

D. SCHOOL OF ANIMAL TECHNOLOGY (SAT)
11. DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
a. Higher National Diploma in Animal Production Technology (HND APT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subject at GCE/SSCE/NECO, at not more than two sittings.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.
v. Evidence of ND JAMB admission letter
b. Diploma in Animal Health and Production (DIP AHP): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in Biology/Agric. Science, English Language, and any other subject of Chemistry, Animal Husbandry, Mathematics, Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics/commerce, Technical Drawing, Physics, Nigerian language, Home Economics, French. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

12. DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HEALTH TECHNOLOGY
a. Higher National Diploma in Animal Health Technology (HND AHT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects at SSCE/GCE/NECO at not more than two sittings.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma (ND) level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.

E. SCHOOL OF FORESTRY & FISHERIES TECHNOLOGY
13. DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY TECHNOLOGY.
a. Diploma in Forestry Technology (DIP FOT): Four (4) Semesters
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in Mathematics, English Language and any other subject from Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Geography, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, home Economics. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

14. DEPARTMENT OF FISHERIES TECHNOLOGY.
a. Higher National Diploma in Fisheries Technology (HND FIT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subject at GCE/SSCE/NECO, at not more than two sittings.
ii. A good credit grade at National Diploma level in relevant areas.
iii. Evidence of Industrial Attachment Training (IT) from any organization.
iv. Evidence of one year post graduate experience.
v. evidence of ND JAMB admission letter
b. Diploma in Fisheries Technology (DIP FIT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. A minimum of three (3) credit passes at GCE/SSCE/NECO in Biology/Agriculture Science, English Language, Chemistry and any other subject of Geography, Mathematics, Food and Nutrition, Economics, Technical drawing, Physics, home Economics. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.

15. DEPARTMENT OF HORTICULTURE AND LANDSCAPE TECHNOLOGY.
a. Diploma in Horticulture& Landscape Technology (DIP HLT): Four (4) Semesters.
Entry Requirements:
i. At least three (3) credit passes at SSCE/NECO/GCE in Mathematics, Physics and any one (1) of Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing, Basic Electronics/Basic Electricity, Auto Mechanics, Metal Work, Woodwork for Civil Engineering Technology, Further Mathematics, English Language, Geography, Economics/Commerce. Equivalent qualifications such as NABTEB are acceptable.
Note: that National Diploma (ND) admission into Akperan Orshi College of Agriculture Yandev is through JAMB and applicants must have the relevant JAMB subjects combination with scores of 120 and above in their UTME.

i. Diploma Programmes – N4,000.00
ii. Higher National Diploma Programme – N5,000.00

Method of Application

Candidates are to generate Invoice Receipts from the College Portal and present to Zenith Bank Plc, Gboko for payment into BIRS E-bills and collect an Application PIN for completion of Online Application Form.

OR

Candidates should visit the registration portal at http://application.aocay.edu.ng/start.php and Make Online Payment using Debit, Master, Visa or Verve Card and then confirm the success of payment for the completion of Online Application Form.

Registration Guidelines

You will be required to fill a pre-application form online and make payment at the bank before completing the application online.
On the pre-application form, you will required to choose the course you want to apply for and fill in your surname, other names, phone number and also choose a password. Note: The password you choose will be required after payment to enable you login and complete your application. Before making you make your payment, Please write your password somewhere so that you won’t forget it.
After filling and submitting the pre-application form online, an invoice will be generated for you to present at the bank to make your payment for application.
After payment, you are expected to visit the school website to complete your application.
