In a bid to consolidate on the achievements recorded so far, the University management has commenced post-graduate studies and consultancy services to generate revenue for the institution, as well as centre for foundation studies to run remedial science studies. Plans were underway to establish new faculties in the field of education, management and environmental sciences, medical sciences and engineering.

This institution is known for excellence, discipline and zero tolerance for all vices prevalent in other institutions, students are advised to abide by the rules. You must shun examination malpractice, drug abuse, cultism and indecent dressing amongst other anti-social acts.

FULAFIA as it is often called with the motto “integrity,innovation and Excellence” is a public university founded by the President Goodluck Jonathan in 2010.

The university which has its current Vice chancellor as Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman is one of the nine (9) federal universities founded in the six Geo-political zones of Nigeria.

Federal University Lafia Courses: General Entry Requirements

The minimum entry requirements to the first year is a General Certificate of Education (or equivalent) with Credit passes in at least five subjects chosen from a list approved from time to time by Senate provided that in each case all the five subjects are taken and passed at not more than two sittings.

1. One of the passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in English Language.
2. Except in the cases of candidate for admission to the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law, and for the Bachelor of Arts in Education in the Faculty of Education, one of the credit passes shall be a pass at ‘O’ Level or equivalent in Mathematics.
3. A pass in the General Paper of the Higher School Certificate is regarded as equivalent to a credit pass in English Language at ‘O’ Level.

In addition to satisfying the minimum requirements indicated in regulations 1 and 2 above, candidates for the Federal University Lafia courses listed above must, among the five subjects presented in fulfilment of minimum requirements, also include the subjects and satisfy the other requirements indicated.

School Fees For Fulafia

Likewise, it worthy of note that the following are the school fees and charges for FULAFIA.

Firstly, first, second, third and fourth year students are to pay the sum of N45,000 as school fees.

Secondly, spill over students are to pay N22,500 for first semester and finally, N45,000 for second semester.

In addendum, all new students year 1 and direct entry students inclusive are to pay N5,000 as acceptance fee before the payment of any other charge.
