Our Postgraduate students undergo academic training and research to become fully equipped in knowledge, research skills, and strong spiritual base to favourably withstand the competitive world market and become employers of labour in diverse areas of their expertise. Better still, our academic programmes foster real life experimental research which embraces critical and creative tinkering leading to acquisition of rewarding skills that will in return birth new generation of postgraduates.

Here, our Postgraduate school has a strategically structured academic calendar that guarantees a start and finish time schedule without delay. This is possible because the school has a scroll of high profile faculty with international stint who are capable of engaging the students using latest, state of art equipment, first class laboratories, experimental fields and facilities that are productively engaged in innovative research and training. Our teaching and research methodology follows international standards that takes postgraduate projects/ dissertations/thesis beyond the shelves. The Programmes have carefully crafted Course Synopsis which are taught under most conducive Classroom, Laboratory and Field learning ambiance. Further readings and instructions are made available in our well-equipped centre for learning resources (CLR) which provides both virtual and shelf stocked learning materials.

GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Doctoral (Ph.D.) Degree Programmes

Admission into any of the Doctoral programmes is available to any graduate of Landmark University, Omu-Aran, or any other University recognized by the Landmark University Senate, who possesses a Master degree relevant to the intended programme. However, such intending candidate should have scored:

• an average of at least 60% (3.5 CGPA) in his/her Master degree programme.
• between 55% – 59% to qualify for M.Phil. Ph.D.
• between 50% – 54% to qualify for M.Phil. Programme.

All applications for admission shall be accompanied or supported by academic transcripts and recommendations from two academic referees from the applicant’s previous tertiary institution.

Course Duration:

Duration for a Ph.D. degree programme is a minimum period of six (6) semesters and a maximum period of ten (10) semesters for full-time candidates. Relevant Courses will be taken for the Ph.D. studies where prescribed, and a Thesis is required at the end of the Ph.D. programme.

Master Degree Programmes

Admission into any of the Master Degree programmes is available to any graduate of Landmark University, Omu-Aran, or any other University recognized by the Landmark University Senate, who possesses the following requirements.

• At least a minimum of Second Class Lower Honours Degree of Landmark University, Omu Aran, or any other University recognized by the Senate, in relevant discipline.
• Third Class Bachelor’s degree and a good PGD.
• HND (minimum of Merit grade) plus PGD.

All applications for admission shall be accompanied or supported by academic transcripts and recommendations from two academic referees from the applicant’s previous tertiary institution

Course Duration:

Duration for a Master degree programme is a minimum period of three (3) semesters and a maximum period of five (5) semesters for full-time candidates. Relevant Courses will be taken for the Master Degree studies. A Dissertation is produced after the research work.

Postgraduate Diploma Programmes

Admission into any of the Postgraduate Diploma programmes is available to any graduate of Landmark University, Omu-Aran, or any other Tertiary Institution recognized by the Landmark University Senate, who possesses the following requirements.

• Five (5) credit passes including English, Mathematics and three other relevant subject at ‘Ó’ levels
• Candidates with Bachelor’s degree from an approved University must obtain a minimum of Third (3rd) Class Degree in relevant discipline.
• Holders of HND in relevant programmes from approved institutions with a minimum of a Pass in the subjects.

All applications for admission shall be accompanied or supported by academic transcripts and recommendations from two academic referees from the applicant’s previous tertiary institution.

Course Duration:

Duration for a Postgraduate Diploma programme is a minimum period of two (2) semesters and a maximum period of four (4) semesters for full-time candidates.
