The Musical Society of Nigeria (MUSON) was founded in 1983 as a result of the interaction and commitment of some friends who love and appreciate classical music. In line with our twenty-third MUSON festival, applications are invited from young talented Nigerian musicians between the ages of 14 and 21.

Prizes to Be Won

• • 1st Prize: N125,000
  • 2nd Prize: N75,000
  • 3rd Prize: N50,000

Important Information/Notice

• Successful applicants will be invited for a live performance of their entries before panel of adjudicators on “ September, .”
• Successful candidates from the above will be given a compulsory piece to go and learn plus a piece of their own choice within a given deadline of  September.”
• Finalists will emerge from each group on “October”. They have one week to prepare for the Youth Concert (The Grand Finale) on “Wednesday;  October”.
• The Grand Finale is an open competition before a panel of 3 judges and live audience. Winners will emerge in each category for prices and certificates.
