The School of Engineering has four (4) academic departments, namely: Department of Building Technology, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Department of Mechanical Engineering (Plant/Production/Automotive options).
Through its quality practical-oriented training, the School has produced competent and responsible Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Teach) graduates who are contributing meaningfully to the field of engineering.
In line with the Strategic Plan of the University and the objectives of the School of Engineering the departments in the School are preparing to run Master of Technology (M.Tech) programmes and introduce new Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes.
Presently, the Department of Building Technology runs a B.Tech It is 18-months top-up training for holders of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology or Quantity Surveying.
The Department of Mechanical Engineering also runs a the Bachelor of Technology degree programme in Mechanical Engineering as a top-up programme for holders of HND in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Air conditioning & Refrigerating Engineering and Metallurgy.

To become a centre of excellence that provides practical training to students to meet the ever increasing demand for engineering professionals to accelerate the nation’s technological advancement.
OBJECTIVE

The development of human resource in the School is of great importance to the Institution.
