The U.S. Air Force Academy publishes an annual Cadet Academic Calendar that includes semester dates, breaks, exams, and key events for cadets.

Cadet Wing Returns & Onboarding: August — cadets report back for the semester and onboarding events.
Classes Begin: Typically late August.
Parents’ Weekend: Late August.
Labor Day Holiday: Early September.
Thanksgiving Break: Late November.
Fall Finals: Typically early December.

Classes Resume: Early January.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day Holiday: Mid‑January.
Presidents’ Day: Mid‑February.
Spring Break: Typically late March.
